Meg who was the waitress at breakfast deserves a pay rise, she was lovely rushed off her feet but nothing was too much trouble!

The place to stay for a long or short visit
Great place. Had a fantastic time while I was there. The staff were exceptional- friendly, professional, courteous and respectful. Would definitely come back here again the next time I am in Edinburgh. Keep up the great work guys!!

big change in ths hotel since refurb!!! this was the place to have a party and a brawl! lol was well known for a fight at every party wedding or funeral, used by all chavs
so thumbs up now from me

my husband and I where very Impressed with the hotel staff and food it was the first time we had been a way for 20 years . we will definatley will return again sooner rather than later.We stayed 5th till 8th of feb

Highly Recommend
From the minute we walked through the front door we were impressed. The Hotel is gorgeous, is fabulous value for money, has fantastic food in the bar and is close to the city centre; there's a bus stop across the road and a taxi costs under £6.

Our stay was made extra special by the extremely friendly and helpful staff - so much so my friend booked a room for a Mother's Day treat in two weeks. We were made very welcome and felt like we were staying with friends!

We needed to leave early in the morning (before breakfast), but we were accommodated and had a cooked breakfast on the table by 8am - thank you!

The staff are a credit (and an asset) to the hotel and we would highly recommend it to everyone looking for a really nice place to stay in Edinburgh!

Brilliant Stay
Staff were very pleasant, they were going to alow me an extra night due to my husbands illness. Food was devine, would reccommend this hotel to anyone staying in edinburgh.

the Staff were very nice and made us feel at home, even put the rugby on at 8.30 in the morning for my hubby to watch. The food was excellent and very good value for money so was the bar.

The Minto offered good value for money. The room was perfectly adequate. The whole hotel had just been recently re-furbished and was clean & fresh. Bar was a bit sparse but perfectly okay & bar food was well done. There was free car parking available. For a value stay I would recommend it.

Excellent manageress there and really good friendly staff. The room was fine, fairly tight for a double, but perfectly adequate. Clean and in good order. The hotel decor was all in good order too. Would certainly recommend this hotel- It's just a nice walk into the centre of Edinburgh, past the Royal Mile and there are plenty of restaurants locally. Handy for Aurthurs Seat too, if you like a few minutes stroll. It's also on a bus route and is not expensive by taxi into town. Very good value for money in comparison to hotels right in the centre and better than most advertising 'close to city centre' This one really is! Well recommended.
